8.2/10

The hotel offered lovely and comfortable rooms with a thermostat to adjust the temperature, but could have benefitted from brighter lights. The service was fantastic, with friendly and accommodating staff. The location, though noisy without A/C, was ideal for exploring the Brecon Beacons. The dining experience was excellent, with generous portions. Overall, a pleasant stay with minor room lighting issues and noise concerns.

The rooms were lovely and comfortable, albeit a bit dark. The thermostat was useful for adjusting the temperature.

Location

The hotel is on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, great for visiting the area, but noisy without A/C and close to a striking town hall clock.

8.4/10

The hotel rooms were spotlessly clean, very quiet, and the staff exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic and accommodated dietary needs. Great value for money overall, despite being above a lively pub. The climb upstairs to the top rooms was worthwhile for the charming exposed beams in the vaulted ceiling.

Rooms
9.0
The room was great, spacious, well-appointed, and had a very comfortable bed.
Service
9.0
The staff were exceptional and really went out of their way with their service. They were very helpful and provided advice on the best places to dine in the area.
Location
7.0
The hotel is located in a sweet town, near everything needed, but it can get noisy due to the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. The town hall clock outside strikes every hour, adding to the noise.
Dining

The dining experience was excellent, with well-cooked meals, generous portions, and superb breakfast service.
Facilities

The facilities provided, including access to a 24-hour free car park, were convenient and satisfying.

I had a delightful stay at this hotel in South Wales. The rooms were spotlessly clean and surprisingly quiet despite being above a lively pub. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast was fantastic, accommodating my wife's dietary needs. Great value for money overall, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the area.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were above the kitchen, so there was some morning noise, but they were clean and quiet overall.
Service
9.0
The service was top-notch, with beautiful rooms, comfy beds, excellent breakfast, and wonderfully friendly and helpful staff.
Location
7.0
The location was convenient for exploring parts of the Brecon Beacons, within 100 yards across from the hotel. However, it was noisy due to the lack of A/C in the room and the town hall clock striking every hour outside.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was excellent, with tasty and hot dishes, though some improvements could be made.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were well-maintained and satisfactory for a comfortable stay.
